Friends & Neighbours

After weeks of planning and organizing and praying for sunshine, yesterday dawned overcast and rainy.  But by mid-morning the sun appeared and our street party came to life. 

What a lovely gathering of friends and neighbours. Much fun was had as the kids played and we all feasted on a delicious barbecue, catered by our local village deli & butchery.

It was a most enjoyable Sunday and already I've been tasked with planning the next one - a Christmas party in the snow! 

Hmmm... I'm thinking mulled wine, mince pies and carols under the tree... ;-)
