Anyone for tea?

Having a domestic goddess day here... cleaning and tidying and baking an abundance of yummy sweet things for my charity tea party tomorrow morning.

Along with 4 of my girlfriends, I'm doing the 5km Race for Life at the end of this month and raising some funds for Cancer Research UK. Have to admit that due to my stukkend right knee, Janet's recent back op and Kate's adamant refusal to run, we are planning to walk the 5kms this year. But still, it's a fun day out and a very good cause.

SO, back to tomorrow's party. 

We decided that instead of trawling for sponsorship, we'd have a tea party. A worthy excuse for cake & a natter, don't you think? 

We're charging a small entrance fee, having a 2nd-hand book sale, a Jamie Oliver 'At Home' stand and one of my neighbours is selling her jewellery line. So we're hoping to raise a tidy wee sum, and after a short negotiation with the hubby, he has agreed to take any leftover yummy things to work with him on Friday and peddle our wares for a small donation. 

Right, best I get back to the kitchen and check the oven... 'tis indeed a delicious aroma of fresh baking that's wafting up the stairs.
