The times, they are a'changin...

The clocks went forward at one minute past midnight this morning so we're now officially on British Summer Time and now only 1 hour behind SA until the end of October.  It's a bit of a weird feeling, losing an hour without having crossed any time zones!

It's also "Census Day" in England today where each household is required by law to complete the 2011 Census Questionaire. The 32 page form has to be completed in English or Welsh (we'll probably choose the English option, our Welsh being fairly limited!) but it is also available in 55 different languages.
I kid you not.
And we thought SA was complicated with its 11 official languages?
Half of these languages I've never even heard of.... like Akan/Twi-Fante, Igbo, Lingala, Luganda, Pahari and Tigrinya... although we were pleased to note that we could also request the questionnaire in iShona.
An interesting sign of the times and of the multi-cultural-ness (?) of our modern day English society.
