Well, the Hugos arrived safe & sound early on Friday morning and we haven't stopped since. We only have until Thursday before they head off again so there's an awful lot of nattering and things to do before then :-)
On Saturday morning we were up & about early and hopped on the train to spend the day in London. First stop on the agenda was Hamleys... a complete sensory overload at the best of times, never mind on a Saturday morning on the first day of school half-term holidays! So we split up - boys to the boys toys floor and girls to the girls toys with a rendezvous time set for an hour later. Two and a bit hours later, we emerged triumphant onto Regent Street, new toys in hand. Lunch, a sightseeing wander through the streets of London and a mad dash back to Euston station (we made it with a mere 2 minutes to spare!) completed a really fun day out.
Yesterday the Macs and Chris came to spend the day with us and it was a really lekker gesellig day. Sooo lovely to just be together, and (even if I say so myself) lunch was yummy too.![]() |

A trip to Stratford-upon-Avon is on the itinerary for today, so here's hoping the rain stays away just a little while longer.
So much to do, so little time...
