Yesterday was Mother's Day here in the UK, or to give it its official title 'Mothering Sunday'.
I came across these words in a delightful little book called 'Flower Shop Messages' by Sally Page (www.fanahanbooks.com) which are so apt and lovely:
"How do you thank someone for bringing you into the world? For feeding you, teaching you vital life skills (like how to bake cupcakes and the words to ABBA songs), for chasing away nightmares and hugging you when you're sad, and for loving you no matter what mistakes you have made, whatever your hair is doing that day, and despite all your flaws?"

So to all you lovely mums out there, but most especially to my Mum... Happy Mother's Day.
Albeit a belated wish - Ali seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time on the PC yesterday, I couldn't get a look-in to post an update!
