The Great Escape

Saturday at chez Walker was officially designated as "MPP2" day (that's "Midlands Puzzle** Party 2" for the uninitiated amongst you) so my plan was to escape the barrage of Puzzlers (what is the collective noun for Puzzlers, one wonders? Suggestions welcome.) about to descend on our doorstep.

So once again I hopped on the train to London for some retail therapy and lunch with Chris. We Reid girls do shopping and lunching way better than we do puzzles, so it seemed like a good idea.
Of course the fact that there were two FA Cup semi-final matches on at Wembley and the London Marathon happening at the weekend did not deter us, so we battled bravely through the crowds and emerged triumphant with shopping bags aplenty.
All in all, a successfully therapeutic day.

As if they'd not had enough of puzzling, after a lovely walk with the pups in the Clent hills followed by yummy bacon butties on Sunday morning, Ali & Louis (a friend and fellow puzzler visiting from Eindhoven for the weekend) moved outside into the sunshine and continued their quest to conquer until it was time for Louis to head back to the airport and home.

Have a look at Ali's blog Puzzling Times for the full write up of MPP2.

** mechanical puzzles, not jigsaws!
