Today was the kind of day that lifts the spirit.
The reason: the sun appeared; the temp was mild; the trees are budding; the bluebells are sprouting; and the birds were chirping. Oh, and the Proteas won their opening match at the CWC by 7 wickets!
Yes, believe it or not (considering it is England in February), today felt like Spring.
The pups and I had a lovely long walk in the Lickey hills with Gill & Breagha, then we sat in the sun and had coffee and a good old natter. Always truly good for the soul.
Lunch was al fresco on the deck, then we settled down for the rest of the afternoon to watch the cricket. Ben & Jerry slept through most of it - unusual given that there were balls being thrown and caught... an action that usually holds their attention!  |
