Paint the Town Red...

... or in our case: Paint the Kitchen a delicate shade of Wheatgrass (beige really!)

Yesterday was a miserable drizzly and misty day, perfect for being indoors.
So, taking advantage of the fact that Ali is still on leave, we decided to paint the kitchen. This task has been on our "to do" list since we moved in, but then with the advent of the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world we decided we'd best wait until they were past "the chewing stage". A wise decision as it turns out.
So once Ali had sanded down the chewed skirting boards and smoothed over the gnawed wall in the utility room, we cleared the space, masked up all the edges, banished the pups beyond the stairgate to the hallway with a chew bone each to keep them out of mischief, and set about the transformation.
Armed with the roller, Ali was in charge of all the big wall bits whilst I, apparently having a more delicate approach and a steadier painting hand, was tasked with all the edges.  For the record, I should like it noted that there are a LOT of edges in our kitchen!

So that's that ticked off the list.

Next?
As I write, Ali is outside in his wellies (well, not just his wellies, obviously!) powercleaning the driveway.
It is 3C!!

Me? I think I'll go and put the kettle on.
