Tommie arrived on Friday bearing a substantial supply of Woollies bran rusks (our favourite), biltong, droewors and a bottle of the Cape's finest red - all one really requires for an excellent weekend. Good friends, good food, good fellowship, mixed in with a wee glass of vino (or two), and SA vs Scotland on the telly. Although we should probably not mention the rugby (well done Scotland!)
Yesterday we hopped on the train to Birmingham and spent the day at the Frankfurt Weinachtsmark - apparently the biggest German Christmas market outside of Germany (there's a piece of interesting yet quite possibly useless information for you) The temp only reached 5C max, but it was a good excuse for more eating and drinking - bratwurst hotdogs, hot chocolate and hot fudge sundaes.... yummmy.
Tom, it was so lovely to catch up again, we miss you already. Haste ye back....
