A week indoors...

This week I've been pretty much housebound. Ben & Jerry had their "procedure" last Friday and the vet's instructions were to keep them indoors (aside for wee breaks, obviously) for the next 10 days. Hmmm... no mean feat with two bouncy Labradors.  Day 1 was easy as they were still a bit dopey from the meds, but by the end of Day 2, they (and I) were bouncing off the walls. On  Day 3, I slipped out to my Pilates class for an hour and returned to discover that Ben had attacked the kitchen table and had almost chewed through one leg (the table's, not her own). This despite the array of chew toys and alternative entertainment that I had strategically scattered around the kitchen. Fast forward to today and the end is in sight: only 3 more days...

I have to admit, it's been a perfect week for being indoors though - the weather has been cold and miserable, with the sun only making a brief appearance once or twice.  So besides puppysitting, I've been nesting.

I've been:
  • knitting Dasher & Prancer as company for Pete (see post below)
  • quilting (a new craft skill I am learning and LOVING)
  • baking cupcakes (for our lovely neighbour who very kindly puppysat on Day 5)
  • sewing new cushions for the sofa (the fabric was purchased on my last trip to London in September and has been waiting patiently to be made up)
So all in all, a fairly productive week after all.
