A lingering Summer . . .

Just like last year (when we had a heatwave in October!), it looks like Summer is planning to linger a bit longer... well, here in the south at least.
Proof for all you cynics out there who whinge about the British weather, that sometimes (yes, I'll admit it's not THAT often), just sometimes, our temps hit the high twenties...

This was Friday afternoon at 4.22pm... 26 degrees Celsius... whoopee!!

And the sunshine continued into the rest of the weekend too.
Ali spent Saturday in Warwick at MPP 7 (see his blog - I'm sure he'll write about it soon) and Chris came up from London to play with me & the pups.  We had a lovely long walk in the Clent Hills and then on Sunday morning Chris & I did the 5km Race for Life at Cofton Park.

As if we hadn't had enough exercise for the day, we had a yummy roast lunch al fresco and then spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden, weeding and planting an array of Spring bulbs.

The rain returned briefly yesterday, but today it's beautiful, sunny and warm again... yay!
Long may it continue :-)
