After five days in Washington DC, we said farewell to our lovely new-found friends at IPP and hopped on the train to New York. The train was quick & easy - I read & crocheted, and Ali puzzled... no surprise there then!
The last few times I've been to NYC have been shopping trips with my various sisters and cuzzies.
So as we'd done a whole bunch of shopping in DC (including 5 pairs of shoes and 60 puzzles
**...
whatever happened to the "Don't let me buy any more shoes/puzzles" mantra?!) and our suitcases were pretty much jam-packed, we decided to spend this trip doing some touristy things.

We met up with the Tselentis' too which was such fun. They were spending a few days in NYC en route from Harare, Zimbabwe to Austin, Texas so it was lovely to catch up and be together in the Big Apple.
Ok, so I will confess - we did do just a little bit more shopping... who could resist a wee flutter in Tiffany's and Purl Soho? Certainly not we Walkers ;-)

here. And just for the record: 2 of the 5 pairs of shoes were for the Mr !
