Pups v. Flowerbed

Wow, this week has just flown by and yet another weekend approaches.  Last weekend the weather played along and on Saturday morning we had a lovely walk in the Clent Hills again.  I think it has now become one of my favourite places to walk in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. Not least because of the yummy bacon sarmies at the little NT cafe - officially voted THE best in the county!  So we met up with Gill & Breagha for a long walk from Nimmings Wood over to Adam's Hill and back again, and then Malcolm joined us for brunch.
On Sunday, as promised by the esteemed Met Office, the sun came out and the temp went up (Ali's shorts even put in an appearance for the first time this year!) so we decided to tackle some of the outdoors DIY stuff that needed doing. The cutting garden was looking a bit forlorn, so we pulled out all the dead stuff (some killed by the frost and others just through sheer neglect... I have never professed to being very good with plants), raked up some leaves and just tidied it up in general.
Fast-forward 4 days, and this morning I found the pups very busily excavating the very same flower bed....aaarghh... so now half the brown muddy earth is on the utility room floor and they are in the dog-box.
On the plus-side though, they left the tulips untouched and if the mild March temps continue for another week or so, hopefully they will blossom beautifully.
