The early morning mist that heralded the beginning of March, lifted and revealed a beautiful, mild sunny day.
So the pups and I met up with Gill & Breagha and had a truly delightful wander in the Clent hills. We decided we'd explore a different trail today and were very proud of ourselves - we managed not to get lost!
Ben had her first experience of a whole herd of sheep and our usually shy pup barked them into submission as they retreated away from us whilst Jerry just looked on in curiosity, clearly wondering what all the fuss was about. We could hear the woodpeckers too, but didn't manage to spot any.
Two hours later we arrived back where we'd started: three tired & happy pups, and two thirsty humans. We sat down for some light refreshment at the outdoor cafe where all hounds have to be kept on the lead, and we had a wee giggle at the variety of mutts tied to the bicycle stands, waiting patiently whilst their owners enjoyed a tasty bacon sandwich!
