On most occasions, when she's not either eating or asleep, the Ben pup is to be found carrying either a toy, a ball or a stick of some sort, in her mouth. Always looking for a game, and always eager to please, like a good Girl Guide, her motto is "Be Prepared". If she comes across a human that, in her opinion is at a loose end, she will nudge said toy/ball/stick at you, willing you to play with her.
(Just as an aside: the Jerry pup, on the other hand, could not be asked. She is motivated purely by food and cuddles and the opportunity to sleep. On the odd occasion, she may indulge Ben and join in the game, but only on her terms!)
So, we were out for a walk in the Lickey woods this morning and, overjoyed at the abundance of "sticks" on offer, guess which one Ben chose?
Yep, that's right. The biggest one she could find.
Got to love her ambition!
