Well, both the laundry and the return of the land-legs took longer than anticipated, but finally here I am...
It really has been a whirlwind of activity here in Walkers World for the past few months.
The day after the Hugos left, Ali went to Eindhoven for a giant Puzzle Party thing (see his blog account thereof here), and the day before he got back, Oriel arrived from SA, and two days later we were all off to Malaga, Spain to board the 'Adventure of the Seas' for a 5 night cruise to the Canary Islands.
The purpose of the occasion was to celebrate our cuzzie Linda's 40th birthday (even though she still looks not a day over 29) and seeing as several of the Clan were in attendance, we took advantage of all being together and (belatedly) celebrated my Mum & Dad's 50th wedding anniversary too.

Despite some very rough seas for the first day (when we discovered that the Walker & Hill branches of the Clan are decidedly better sailors than the Reids!), it was lovely to all be together and enjoy the welcome warmth and sunshine of Tenerife and Lanzarotte.
All too soon, the holiday was over and we were back in chilly Blighty.
Not for long though, as Linda, Oriel and I are heading to New York this week for a Christmas shopping trip... so exciting!
